Beautiful Ache; A Song In the Making

Some of the lyrics are borrowed from the book I've been reading. Thank you Ms. McLeroy for the inspiring reminder of what and where and who we are ultimately made for!

It's the pain that strikes when the loss is sudden, or suddenly realized

It's the awe inspired with something stunning displayed before our eyes

It's the longed for touch and word well-spoken delivered just in time

It's the silent hope in a lazy sunset spread wide across the sky

It's a beautiful ache that says there's more

Beyond the borders of this place that we were meant for

It's the hunger that stays even when we feed it, it's never satisfied

It's the nagging sense there's a greater secret hidden in plain sight

It's tomorrow's dreams held in tiny fingers and late night lullabies

It's the tears that fall when love releases to say its last goodbye

It's a beautiful ache that says there's more

Beyond the borders of this place that we were meant for

We weren't made for goodbyes

We weren't meant for this pain

They're just here to remind us

We weren't made for this place

It's a beautiful ache....

It's our worst mistake made with good intentions

It's our fears replaced with expectation

It's the long ride home to our destination

  1. I'd love to hear this song. Could I have a copy? (I hope you liked the book!)
